Art Deco Crystal Decanter with Silver Elephant Stopper, 1930s
About the Item
Stylish decanter in cut and polished lead crystal. Anonymous French or Belgian maker in the style of Baccarat. It comes with a baby elephant stopper in silver (indistinguishable hallmark and made by Scandinavian silversmith NS (not identified). The stopper, probably a period replacement, has been upgraded with a new rubber bottom/sealer replacing the old nasty cork piece. It now has a tight fit. Measurements H: 25 cm, Width: 14 cm. Capacity: 0.5-0.6 liter.
