Cenedese Murano White-Scavo Decanter Bottle with Ball Stopper

Cenedese murano white-scavo decanter bottle with ball stopper. Italy, circa 1980s. We are pleased to offer this large and sculptural (attributed) Cenedese Murano White-Scavo Decanter. Hand blown using the 'Scavo' technique, in this example its a subtle all over oxidized white Murano glass. With the large original removable ball stopper, raised on a bottle form decanter with long neck, domed circular bottom. Unsigned. Overall measurements: Eighteen inches high to the top of the ball sculpture, Fourteen -Inches high to top of the bottle, The overall diameter of the bottle is eight inches. The original stopper measures three and half inches. Condition Report: Well cared vintage condition, Some minor roughness on the bottom of the stopper. Some minor signs and is ready to place. of wear on the bottle, please refer to photos. Overall the decanter presents beautifully

    This vintage smokey gray gradient blown glass cinched decanter bottle was designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard. It is called the Kluk Kluk. He was a major designer for the company. This is from the 1960s. What is most unusual about this is the rare crown stopper that was only made for the Danish markets. This was brought back from Denmark by a collector. For the upper class homes, this was used at the time for liquors and serving special schnapps. Great barware.
