Loewe Spain Chrome and Gilt Metal Thermos Insulated Decanter
About the Item
This is a sleek and modernist barware thermos made of chrome and gilded brass, produced by Loewe in Spain. The insulated decanter features a large flat handle and a dimensional striped design with a gilded brass Loewe logo decor. The inner thermos is lined with silver glass, and the insulated lid is covered in gilded metal with cork. The underside displays the company's legal hallmarks, reading Loewe - Made in Spain.
The thermos is in good condition, with minor wear on the metal and a tiny bump on the side edge of the pourer lip, but there is no structural issue with using the thermos.
Measurements: 5.50 in wide (14 cm) x 4.32 in deep (11 cm) x 11.44 in high (29 cm).

Note: Given their Spanish heritage, one would be forgiven for assuming that Loewe's company brand and how it is pronounced derives from Castilian. The true provenance traces back to Germany.
The house was founded originally in 1846 by a group of Spanish craftsmen in Madrid as a leathermaking collective. It was not until thirty years later, in 1876, that the technically gifted leatherworker Enrique Loewe Roessberg arrived from Germany, took over, and consolidated the operation under a unified banner. He bestowed the company with his name, and the brand as we know it today was born.
Loewe is a luxury fashion brand that values traditional craftsmanship. They blend modern design with artisanal techniques to create unique and high-quality products.
