Smart Antique English Sterling Silver Hipflask - 1917

About the Item

A very smart antique English solid / sterling silver hip flask / spirit flask. Shaped to fit neatly into a pocket with it's shaped back. The top has a bayonet fitting requiring a turn and lift movement to open, the interior of the lid retaining it's original cork. There is a minor bruise to the lid, mentioned purely for accuracy. The silver is fully hallmarked for the highly collectable Chester assay office and struck in the year 1917, a true antique example. The makers mark is also present for the well renowned silversmith, Stokes and Ireland. 5" x 3" x 7/8" and weighing 150.7 Grams / 4.85 Troy Ounces.
