Large Early 20th Century Hand Carved Bowl
About the Item
Large early 20th century hand carved bowl circa 1900.
These large bowls were hand carved from solid trunks to be used as livestock feeders in eastern europe. There is no evidence that this was used as such, but it now provides and excellent piece of furniture with many possibilities such as use as a wood bin, hallway tidy or a fantastic centrepiece for that grand table. It could also be converted to be used as a sink/basin.
Very minor evidence of previous wood worm, which is long dead and has been treated. Recently re-polished to reveal it's present colour.
