19th Century Chinese Export Porcelain, French 19th Century Louis XVI Centerpiece
About the Item
A beautiful 19th century Chinese export porcelain centerpiece bowl with French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu mounts. The urn is raised by eight feet and a beautiful square ormolu base with concave corners displaying chased rosettes and a fine fluted design. The elegant socle pedestal displays an elegant wrap around berried laurel band and a most decorative curved fluted central support. Leading up each side are striking Greek key shaped ormolu handles with swaging berried laurel bands encasing the porcelain bowl. The bowl displays exceptional craquelure and a superb ormolu band at the rim.
