Antique Venetian Murano Gold Flecks Yellow Pink Flowers Italian Art Glass Bowl
About the Item
Gorgeous, large antique Venetian hand blown yellow quilted surface Italian art glass footed tazza / compote bowl. The piece is created in the manner of the Italian companies Salviati and Fratelli Toso, circa 1900s. The stem of the bowl has 3 large pink flowers, with green leafs attached all around. The surface of the bowl and foot has a quilted diamonds design, and it is profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. The color is made with thousands of bright yellow spots, which you can see on the close up photos. It has a ruffled / crimped rim. Would make a great centerpiece on any table, or display it on a console table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, candy dish, or just as a beautiful sculptural piece in any room. Late Victorian, Art Nouveau era. The piece is very large at 9 1/2" tall x 10" across the top. Please look at all the close-up photos for the magnificent details of this piece. A very rare item!
