Art Deco Chrome and Macassar Wood Centerpiece Decorative Bowl, France 1930s
About the Item
This stylish Art Deco centerpiece or decorative bowl was hand-crafted by French silversmith Massabova, Paris, in the 1930s. The round geometric shape has wing handles. The chrome-plated metal body is ornate with carved Macassar wood and complemented with crystal rods. This streamlined design features Art Deco refinement at its best. The silversmith hallmarks are engraved on the side.
The decorative centerpiece is in good original condition, with minor fading on metal throughout, but that does not significantly affect the overall appearance.
Measurements: 16.13 in wide (41 cm) x 11.82 in deep (30 cm) x 5.32 in high (13.5 cm).
