Based in Brazil, Silvia Furmanovich’s workshop is founded on a fascination with craftsmanship, a love of natural materials and meticulous attention to detail. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Furmanovich comes from a long line of Italian goldsmiths; her great-grandfather made ornaments for the Vatican, and as a child, Furmanovich spent hours observing her goldsmith father in his atelier. In 1998, she launched her own collection. Led by an innate curiosity for and deep exploration of handicrafts and techniques from around the world, Brazilian designer Silvia Furmanovich’s iconic creations are artfully-minded and artisan-crafted. Each creation follows nature’s lead to originate work that is both functional and alluring.
