Jean Luce Art Deco Mirrored Glass Tray, Platter or Centerpiece, 1930s

About the Item

French designer Jean Luce (1895 - 1964) created this lovely Art Deco mirrored tray, centerpiece, or platter. The extra thick mirror glass slab has a square shape with a reverse carved star etched motif in the center, and the four angles and cut corners with deep geometric beveling all around. The bottom of the piece is protected with red velvet felted underside. There is no visible maker's mark. The centerpiece is in good condition, with light surface scratches due to regular use. A tiny flea bite on one corner edge. Check the close-up with a black arrow. Measurements: 11.82 in wide (30 cm) x 11.82 in deep (30 cm) x 0.82 in thick (2 cm).
