Alessio Sarri

Alessio Sarri Ceramiche starts his work in 1981 with some products destined for the first exhibition of the Memphis group. Alessio Sarri, a ceramist by tradition and vocation, was then able to translate the creative imagery of designers such as George J. Soden, Ettore Sottsass, Nathalie du Pasquier, Aldo Cibic, Alessandro Mendini, Jasper Morrison and others into reality. Alessio Sarri himself does not escape the charm of ceramics that he regenerates into commonly used objects with absolutely uncommon shapes. Each piece of the collections is enhanced in its aesthetic value by manual processes, in some cases real ceramic acrobatics. The works proposed by Alessio Sarri are objects that attract the eye with new, intriguing, evocative forms that emerge from the banality of everyday life, while preserving the original functions intact. It is also from this fascinating contrast that the commercial value and saleability of all the collections are born.
