This outstanding set of three ceramic mugs glazed in matte white belongs to a creative series of pieces handcrafted by Patrizia Italiano to celebrate different types of Sicilian street vendors. Dedicated to Carmelina - seller of prickly pears - the mugs' texture features female somatic traits rendered in exquisite details juxtaposed to the decorative detail of colorful prickly pear leaves accenting the rim. The earrings and lips are minutely hand-painted in red for added chromatic vibrancy.
