Antique English Majolica Whimsical Figural Cannibalistic Fish Teapot

About the Item

This antique teapot is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1920 and done in a period Art Deco style. The teapot is composed of majolica and is hand-painted in a semi-realistic manner. The body of the teapot is done as a figural carp fish who is swalling a smaller fish, the tail of which is the spout.
