Ardmore Ceramic Hippo Dish

About the Item

This artwork brings to life the land mammals, capturing the sorrowful reality in their expression. This fancy butter dish is a true gem, with its decorative plate displaying a dark background, beautiful blossom, and Cheetah lookalike skin patterns. The mystical world of Ardmore has seduced collectors around the globe. Each piece is unique, and masterpieces can take several months to complete. Unsurprisingly, these art pieces are often given as state gifts to visiting leaders and luminaries in South Africa. Queen Elizabeth II was presented with an Ardmore bowl by the President of South Africa, and there was an Ardmore masterpiece in the White House. Christie's auction house has acknowledged Ardmore's artwork as "modern-day collectibles," Ardmore's impressive artworks took a leap into haute couture with its collaboration with the luxury French fashion house Hermès on a range of scarves and handbags. These masterpieces are individually made by hand and cannot be replicated. Each piece is one of a kind.
