Ceramic goddess by Denise Picard from the Paul Pouchol workshop H687 Large ceramic by the French artist Denise Picard signed by the Paul Pouchol studio in the 1940s. Glazed ceramic in shades of yellow and white depicting Ceres, the goddess of fertility and harvests carrying a bunch of wheat. Very fine vintage condition (see photos). A few cracks in the glaze.
