About the Item
Each of Françoise Jeffrey's ceramic pieces is hand made, coil built, organically shaped and unique in their own way, thus creating a basic and timeless design. Perfectly imperfect, inspired by the Japanese philosophy wabi-sabi.
For Jeffrey less is more, however she does like to make a statement at times. The beauty in design is not only minimalistic, and pure, but in a subtle way bold too. This means her pieces are mostly off white, brown or black and without any glaze.
Her ultimate dream with ceramics is to touch people's souls. Every time you see one of her pieces, she would like it to be a loving reminder to take good care of yourself, by always staying in tune with your own nature and trusting your instincts.
“Every piece I make is an ode to my late mother Betty, gladly passing on her courage to take good care of yourself. Relying on your intuition, just like she used to do."
Jeffrey's vases have been featured in the Ceramics Magazine, after which she was invited to exhibit during the Paris Design Week, at the '1000 Vases' exhibition in Paris.
