Mexican Fruit Bowl Ceramic Clay Lead Free Blue Green Contemporary Rustic Pottery

About the Item

This beautiful rustic pottery bowl is made by Rolando Regino Porras, son of famous Mexican potter Dolores Porras, in Santa Maria Atzompa, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Dolores made a great innovation by converting a utilitarian object at that time (1950s) and showcasing it for it to be a decorative piece. Now artist, Rolando Regino takes his mother's teachings and goes back in time, to make this decorative object utilitarian as well. With lead free enamels, Rolando creates a trusting usage of his pieces and takes back the usage of the pieces for everyday life. This contemporary bowl is perfect for a decorative piece or to be used in the kitchen or dining room as a fruit bowl.
