Pair of Glass Coolers Flowerpot in Paris Porcelain Signed Feuillet

About the Item

Rare pair of early 19th century porcelain wine glass coolers, circa 1820. Decorated with two medallions of miniature portraits of illustrious women on the front and floral monograms "LL" & "SS" on the back. The medallions on a Sèvres blue-lapis background with beautiful Louis XV flowery rocaille gilding The 2 coolers signed by the Sèvres brand with the letter-signature "F" & a hollow mark indicating the Parisian production of the decorator Feuillet at 18 rue de La Paix from 1816 to 1845. Feuillet was a former decorator of Jacob Petit who became decorator for the Prince of Condé and the Duke of Bourbon. These coolers are in good condition with a small inconspicuous restoration on a handle (see photo)
