Páramo Tiles MIX 50% with curve and 50% with plain curve
About the Item
Páramo expresses the malleability of the earth. This scalable set of mosaics modeled using parametric design allows for infinite variations.
The geographies that result from these digital explorations echo the beauty of hilly, sculpted landscapes. The mosaics were hand-crafted by master craftsman Amando Pedro using an ancestral black clay technique from San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca. His experience and sensibilities made this union of tradition and contemporary design possible.
Clay gives these pieces shape, fire gives them lines, and stone makes them shine. Páramo strikes a balance of uniqueness and mathematical conception. There are eight models to choose from, and any arrangement created from these tiles will be entirely unique.
