Designers: Jeanne Pierlot (1917-1988), who began her career in pottery, opened her workshop in Paris in 1943. Norbert Pierlot (1919-1970) was a young actor. They married in 1948 and settled in the Château de Ratilly, where pottery workshops were organized to finance the renovation of this splendid place, hosting artists such as Georges Jouve. They collaborated on creations of vases, bottles, and pitchers and exhibited in Paris at the "La Demeure" gallery in the 1960s. They rehabilitated this magnificent site, which remained a vibrant art center, hosting various artistic events such as Georges Jouve's exhibition in 1956.
