`Sudden Encounter in The Rain`, Unique Ceramic Wall Relief, Heini Riitahuhta

About the Item

A beautiful and unique piece by one of the most talented contemporary ceramic artists in Finland, Heini Riitahuhta, known for her distinctive style and vibrant floral patterns adorning Arabia Finland products for over 2 decades. Heini`s style is both lyrical and very detailed, inviting viewers to reflect on the intricacies of life. Heini works as an independent ceramic artist at the Arabia Art Department Society. "Sudden Encounter in The Rain" is made up of more than 430 hand painted and serigraphed pieces of hexagons. The combination of the warm and light blue and green shades with the cold and dark green and greeish shades gives an energetic vibe. The 3D effect made by the varying heights of the individual ceramic pieces will add liveliness to any interior. This monumental piece of art has been exhibited in 2 different exhibitions :- Northern Latitude 60.20890 , The Arabia Art Department Society´s 20th anniversary exhibiton, Iittala & Arabia Design Centre, Helsinki 14.9.2023- 28.1.2024 And Heini Riitahuhta at SEB Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, Eteläesplanadi 18, Helsinki 9.2- 15.4.2024 Heini`s works can be found in museum exhibitions and collections, and as public art installations, both permanent and temporary.

Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) was the master of decorative ceramics at the Arabia factory in Finland. Kaipiainen introduced ceramic beads to his art in the 60s' and the surface of the object became more important for Kaipianen´s art. This beautiful unique ceramic plate...
