Hand Blown 19th Century Cranberry Crystal Covered Punchbowl on Stand with Matching Ladle

About the Item

This large and beautifully cut 19th c. punchbowl is cranberry cased in clear crystal with elaborately cut and notched borders. The clear casing is very fine and subtle and can be seen at angles of light on the borders.The matching ladle exemplifies the workmanship. Every element is beautifully cut and polished with great attention to detail. The color is deep and rich and is an amazing example of cranberry glass at its finest. The diameter of the under tray is 12.5" and the overall height is 9 3/4".

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. The base was ground professionally on one side (2") and still looks fabulous but it sits slightly unevenly in one position. Very acceptable restoration and a gorgeous piece.
