These three typical country pots are finished with a distinctive vivid blue salt glaze, enhancing the rounded clay base with a charming nature inspired motif. The dominant form of storage for food or agricultural purposes for thousands of years, these ceramic vessels come from Belgium, made circa 1900. Blue brushstrokes capture a fanciful sprig of foliage, the decorative style has its origins in Westerwald-ware and is known throughout central and western europe.
