Dutch Delft shaped Chinoiserie Polychrome plaque, Circa 1730-40 The shaped plaque has a raised molded border decorated with a series of alternating painted panels of flowers and Chinese auspicious objects. The central scene is painted with a slightly off-center table with a vase filled with flowers and a large parrot perched on the branches. Several flying bugs can be seen around the flowers. To the left is a gardener with two watering pots at his feet. The whole in a puce, yellow and green palette. The top is surmounted with a blue shell pierced with a suspension hole. Polychrome table fountain Delft, 1750-1770 The polychrome table fountain is modelled in the form of a corpulent, seated man on a pedestal. He sits leisurely leaning back on a green pedestal with net decor with flowers. He is dressed in a blue jacket with flowers, white vest, yellow knee-breeches, white stockings and dark shoes. On his head he wears a tricorn that has an opening at the top for liquor (wine, liqueur or gin) for liquor to be poured into. The stopper is missing. There is a handle on the back, and a pewter tap in a mascaron on the front. Dimensions: height 31,5 cm / 12.40 in., width 21 cm / 8.26 in., depth 29,5 cm / 11.61 in. Provenance: G. This antique Dutch Delft charger was made in the 18th century, circa 1770. It features a beautiful flower-filled garden hand painted in beautiful polychrome colors. We see a single large, bright yellow peony, other flowers painted in shades of purple, flower buds painted red, green leaves, a pierced rock painted deep cobalt blue, and the garden fence painted red and yellow. The border of the charger is decorated with a ring of flower buds in purple and red with green leaves. The overall effect is lovely! Tin ash was used in a glaze for pottery as early as the 9th century in Mesopotamia.
