Assembled Set of Antique Hand Painted Art Deco Porcelain Plates

About the Item

This is a collected set of four unique, hand painted, antique plates of differing sizes by Hutschenreuther, Bavaria and Haviland, France. Pairing together well with complimentary Art Deco and Art Nouveau motifs, gilded details and black outlines are consistent throughout this collection. As with all antique dinnerware - we offer these as decorative objects only and not for food use. The listing size is for the largest plate. Information for each individual - in the order shown in the photos - plate is as follows: 3 plates produced in Bavaria, Germany by Hutschenreuther (founded 1814). 1 large: 8 5/8" diameter 2 small: 6" diameter Large plate: white porcelain with tones of dark and light green, a coral or orange color, gilding, and black outlines. This plate has some discoloration to the white porcelain, reflected in the detail photos. Some paint loss. Has the Hutschenreuther mark, no signature. Small plate 1: white porcelain with yellow accents against black and gilded detail. Some paint losses on the front, a bit of discoloration on the reverse. Signed "root" and marked "UNO IT 'Favorite' Bavaria" - a mark of Hutschenreuther. Small plate 1: This plate has more of an Art Nouveau influence with a geometric floral design in red and green with gilded details and black outlines. Some paint loss. Has the Hutschenreuther Bavaria mark and is signed by Bernice G. Fast. 1 Large plate by Haviland, France (Founded 1842): 8 5/8" diameter This plate is the most colorful, with orange, red and dark green geometric patterning. As with the German plates, this plate has gilded edges and black outlines. Some paint losses and discoloration. We prefer to keep this set together.
