Twelve Sarraguemines creamware souvenir plates from the Universal Exposition of 1889 in Paris Twelve different scenes on creamware ground representing over 24 nations and regions visiting Paris for the Exposition including France, the United States, Russia, England, Alsace, Switzerland, the Tyrol, Japan, China, Hungary, Argentina, Mexico, Egypt, Turkey, Persia, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela, and Guatemala all gloriously arrayed in native traditional attire and headgear. Very charmingly representative of a past era of globalization. Painted markings for Sarraguemines. France, 1888-1889. Dimensions: 8.5 inch diameter x 1" H
