Antique Decalcomania or Potichomania Blown Glass Globe Early Photograph

About the Item

Antique decalcomania or potichomania large blown glass ball sphere. Hand blown glass sphere. 19th century cut out chromolithographs decoupaged into the interior. Amazingly through a 3/4" hole in the bottom of the sphere. Includes family portrait. Patinated cast iron base. An exceptional example of this art form. 14" diameter.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Good condition. A couple of the chromo lithograph cut outs have been partially covered by plaster of paris that seeped on t the image. This is part of the making process. See last photo.
