Georgian Triple Knopped Balustroid Wine Glass, c1740 Additional information: Period : George II Origin : England Colour : Clear Bowl : An ogee bowl with almost enough shape at its base to justify being termed a double ogee Stem : Plain stem Stem Features : A full set of collar, medial and basal ball knops; the first of these enclosing a large round bubble or tear, and set a little way below the base of the bowl Foot : Conical and folded Pontil : Snapped Glass Type : Lead Size : H 15.1 cm Diameter Rim : 5.1 cm Diameter foot: 7.3 cm Condition : Excellent; no chips, cracks or flakes; scattered tiny bubble inclusions throughout Restoration : None
