We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Valuable set of six beverage glasses with a simple and linear shape in colored opaline glass; they have been blown in a single piece without joints, then shaped with mastery by skilled artisans of an artisan furnace in Murano (Italy) between 1970 and 1975; the most difficult and particular operation was to leave the opaline white inside and make the outside with different colors; some colored oxides were applied when the draft of the white opalescent glass had already come out of the furnace (iron oxide for yellow and cobalt and manganese oxide for black); at the precise moment when they began to melt and amalgamate with the white, the craftsman began blowing and modeling the glass, quickly and fast, so that the colors were distributed only on the surface of the object without penetrating, as if they were brushstrokes, then put the glass back in the furnace for a very short time and then proceeded to a quick cooling; an operation that not everyone is able to do, in fact it is delegated only to the Glass Masters. However, whoever is the creator, the realization of this service confirms that the Venetian aptitude, celebrated over the centuries, for the manufacture of glass, is an alchemical combination of the material developed by clever craftsmen with artistic intuition, since ancient times Venetian artisans protect and hand down the art of glass always giving us valuable and unique works of art that fascinate us for their beauty. Measures diameter cm.7, height cm.15. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
