Nailsea English Blown Large Glass Flask
About the Item
A very fine large antique English hand-blown Nailsea glass flask with trailed patterning dating from around 1860. The flask of oval shape has a narrow funnel top and narrow base with a rough pontil. The flask which lies flat is blown in white milk glass with controlled purple pulled feather like patterning and with a solid purple glass rim around the opening. The flask is not marked.
Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market.
