Outstanding quality antique Victorian silver plated claret jug by John Northwood, after John Flaxman, having a Victorian Etruscan Revival etched glass and silver plate mounted claret jug, having a bulbous shaped body engraved with images from Flaxman's illustrated Homer's Odyssey, 1805, including Mercury Conducting the Souls of the Suitors and Apollo and Diana, between Neoclassical bands, the lid and handle chased with Mannerist and neoclassical bands raised on a cut glass circular base.
