Baccarat's ornate Bergame is a variation of the Parme pattern which dates to 1850. Bergame features an Empire Revival motif consisting of etched Birds of Paradise and Sea Horses along with scrolling decoration, all of which are accented in gilt. The glasses have been finished with other decorative elements including a series of vertical prismatic mitre cuts with angular tops resembling sword tips that are located immediately beneath the gilt etched decoration. The tapered paneled stems have six sides and the feet are rimmed in gold. The underside of the glasses carry the acid-etched Baccarat mark.
