Heading : Engraved glass Ewer Period : Victorian Date : c1880 Origin : England Colour : Clear Bowl : A barley twist handle. Finely engraved with ferns below an acacia type tree, a further sapling beneath the handle Foot : Star Cut Glass Type : Lead Size : 28.3cm tall, 11.5cm bowl, 9cm foot Condition : Excellent Restoration : None Weight : 988g This is the finest Victorian ewerthat we have offered for sale. The engraving could be a Schiller design, Joseph Keller or Jules Barbe. The ferns and festoons of leaves are common to both. The glass itself could be Webb or Stevens and Williams. The highly naturalistic style is just stunning
