A Very Good Pair of Georgian Anglo-Irish Glass Spirit Decanters, UK Circa 1820

$1,400per set

About

Both decanters of mallet form with panel-faceted shoulders and bodies, rising to triple-ringed necks fitted with their original dedicated and hexagonal shaped stoppers, the undersides of each base engraved with radiating star-cut motifs. Both in very good overall condition, a few very minor frits to the base of the stoppers consistent with their age and use. Decanters of these diminutive proportions were used specifically for distilled spirits such as brandy, rum or gin as opposed to port or still wines.
