Vintage Italian Nason Mazzega Decorative Two-Body Orange Murano Glass Vase
About the Item
This is a rare and extremely fascinating two-body vase in Murano glass. Designed by Ermanno Nason for I.V.R. Mazzega in the 1980s, it is a perfect expression of the pop aesthetic of the era, famously embodied by the colourful pieces of Memphis Group. The present vase, in the shape of a cylinder, has got a clearish main body with a decorative "lid" in vright orange glass that can face upwards or downwards as shown in pictures.
The vase is in good conditions given its age; it only has a minor chipping on the inner edge of the main body (the clear one) highlighted in pictures; other than that, it has no defects. It is a wonderful decorative piece ready to be placed in any room to bring in a splash of colour!
