Unusual Pair of Early George III Cast Sugar Tongs Made by Thomas Wallis I
About the Item
The sugar tongs are cast and the arms are unusually pierced with scroll borders and a central beaded band. The arms terminate in shell grips and the arched top is chased with linear scroll work and flower heads. The Tongs are in excellent condition and are well marked with the maker's mark and sterling mark.
