Massive size prattware pitcher with amorial, prancing horse and dated 1805 initialed J F B. A stunning an very rare prattware pottery pitcher initialed J F B and dated 1805 a decorated with a figure of a prancing horse. A striking feature of the pietcher is the amorial crests which are painted on each side of the piece. The rim border is decorated with houses and this is repeated at the handle. The scale and the attention to the unique decoration renders this pitcher one of the best examples of Prattware I have ever seen. Provenance: Private collection North West England and previously in West Virginia USA.
