Vintage pewter jug with leather handle by Gunnar Havstad, Norway 1950s

About the Item

Lovely and classic Norwegian pewter jug/pitcher designed and made by Gunnar Havstad (b.1901 - d. 1973) from his own pewter workshop/studio in Nesodden (established 1928), Norway 1950s. A special design jug with leatherband wrapped handle and top lid with a hook shaped lid handle. Perfect and special jug or just great as an decorative object. Good vintage condition and nice pewter patina. Signed underneath Havstad - pewter Norway. Measures: 35cmH x 10cmD x 16.5cm deep incl handle.
