Antique Art Deco English Oval Silver Plated Serving Tray

About the Item

This antique silver plated serving tray was made in England in circa 1920 in a very modern streamlined design in the Art Deco style. This oval shaped tray has solid raised sides with a simple scrolling curved edges and handles cut in on either end. The streamlined simplicity of this tray is highlighted by the absence of any engraving. The tray is clearly hallmarked on the bottom but we were unable to determine the exact maker, so is posted as 'unknown' but is marked 'Made in England'.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Some surface wear to both the top and bottom as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use. The one dark area on the tray's top is not worn through to base metal.
