About the Item

Circa 1775
The well-painted Chinese Export porcelain dish is painted in superb underglaze blue with a central large double censor, the upper openwork section filled with flowering plants and flowers. The lower section of solid construction in darker blue is decorated with a central panel of flowers and flower heads to each side. The censor is raised on a hollow base with flaring feet. Issuing from the sides and underside are additional flowers and, to the sides, large leaves with precious objects placing upon them. The whole within a scroll border.
