Collection of Fifty-nine Pieces of Wannopee Lettuce Leaf Majolica Pottery

About the Item

This is a large collection New Milford Wannopee green Lettuce Leaf pottery. These are rare and hard to find pieces. They are considered part of the Majolica family. Due to the age and the nature of the pottery, the green finish is often irregular and faded. There can be crazing of the interiors of cups and bowls. It is part of the look and the beauty of this old Majolica pottery. Of the total count of 59, 48 pieces are in good antique condition; 11 pieces are chipped or cracked but worthy of restoration. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was a collector of this green lettuce leaf pottery.
