Hispano-Moresque Copper Lustre Circular Dish

About the Item

An Hispano-Moresque copper-lustre circular dish 19th century, probably Valencia (Manises). Rare in form, as two-handled large bowl, scudella, painted in copper lustre with stylised foliage and pseudo Arabic calligraphy, in cobalt blue. Measures: 10 5/8" inches (27cm.) diameter. 13 1/4" inches (33.6cm.) across handles. 2 1/2" inches (6.3cm.) high. Restorations.
