Large Black and Beige Petrified Wooden Platter, Accessory of Organic Origin

$537.14

About

This large petrified wooden platter is an item of ancient organic origin. The material is smooth sanded on both sides. The black and beige tones of the object are a natural result of the organic process of petrification. The listed item is of organic origin, and was shaped during a per-mineralization process in which wood is transformed into a stone like material. The platter is an unique and ancient object with the natural round shape of the tree trunk or branch still visible; black/ charcoal tones in the centre and beige tones towards the outside. The item holds its own presence and can stand alone as a fascinating, natural object or can be used as platter or plate. The object still holds the typically wooden tissue and carvings of the wooden origin (millions of years ago).
