Ceramic plate with painting of a mans face in surreal mediterranean style by Toledian artis Pablo Sanguino Pablo Sanguino, born in 1949 in Puente del Arzobispo, belongs to a tradition of potters who ended up settling in Toledo in 1955, in a workshop located in “el valle”, exactly where the Ciudad de Toledo hotel is today. At the age of twelve, he already had his hands in the mud, a telluric and mythological element par excellence. A student of Mauricio Sanguino Otero and later of José Aguado at the Toledo School of Arts and Crafts, he teaches as a potter in Toledo and Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, an activity he develops for almost a decade and leaves to devote himself to pottery. artistic production.
