Refined Swedish Grace Tray, Stainless Steel with Bakelite handles, Gense 1930s Sweden. Made in Sweden during the 1930s in the popular and refined Swedish Grace. Designed and produced by the famous Swedish company Gense, based in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Gense was one of the leading producer of elegant and high-quality cutlery and serve-ware, and a pioneer in the use of stainless steel in cutlery. Simple beauty and refined Swedish Grace serving tray, combining elegant stainless steel with elegant bakelite handles. Ornamentation is achieved by refined and slight fluting of the outermost portion of the metal as well as the parts connecting the tray with the handles, giving it a sense of the classical and modern simultaneously. The handles feature slight and stylized floral ornamentation that enclose the bakelite handles. Wear consistent with age and use
