Antique Victorian Staffordshire Hand Painted Pottery Dog Figurine

About the Item

Classic Victorian Staffordshire pottery hand painted dog, with a lovely curled tail. Measuring height 24.5cm / 9.64 inches by width at the base 17.6cm / 6.93 inches, and depth 8 cm / 3.15 inches. The dog is decorated with gold highlighting, much of which has worn with time, and has a black painted muzzle, and golden eyes. It is in very good condition, and has typical crazing, and some irregularities. Because this figurine was hand made it is not perfect, and that is its character and appeal. This wonderful antique creamy white Staffordshire dog would look charming on a mantelpiece or window sill.
