Guido Gambone 1950s Charger, Italy
About the Item
A large deep charger by Guido Gambone from the late 1950s with a purple/brown glaze. Decorated with a central medallion of a head in profile and shell like reserves around the ground near the rim which is decorated with purple chevrons against a pale ground. Displays a lovely textured and semi matte finish that has a 'must touch me' quality to it. Marked on the base.
