Black on black pottery jar by Marie Martinez, signed Marie. 1943 - 1956; 4" x 6" San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico, are internationally renowned 20th-century American potters. Inspired by the findings of archeologists, Maria and her husband led a revival of ancient pottery styles among Pueblo artisans.
