Marius Van Woerden Fat Lava Decor Vintage Ceramic Jug, 1960s

About the Item

A beautiful ceramic jug featuring the lilac color Fata Lava glazing so characteristic of the Vest Ceramic studio production circa the 1960s. Marius Van Woerden focused on this type of brutalist ceramics, creating organic shapes and raw fat lava glazings. Measurements: Height 25cm (10") Diameter 12cm (4.75") From 1964 to 1973, the van Woerden brothers made pottery under the name " van Woerden Gouda Aardewerk ". From 1973 the name was changed to "Vest Ceramics Gouda-Holland" and in 1984 the company ceased its activity.
