Pair of 19th Century French Terracotta Confit Pots
About the Item
A very attractive pair of provencial French Confit Pots, each with two side handles, and glazed internally. Light in colour, their exterior surfaces are beautifully aged, and full of character. Once used in a southern French kitchen for the preservation of foodstuffs before the days of refrigeration, these pots are now highly sought after and provide an accent of rustic charm in any decor, whether inside or outside. Note they are both pierced and were used as planters.
